Calculator: what it costs to give AI to the whole workforce

Almost no company knows how much it spends on AI today. There are personal licenses employees pay for, team licenses nobody centralizes, and a slice of the Microsoft, Google or Salesforce budget that already includes AI nobody uses. This calculator puts the public figures side by side: what it costs to give every employee a seat in each option, and what that comes to per employee per year. No promised results, just cost.

How to read the result

The figure that matters most isn't the difference between options but the comparison with the cost of the person. An Azimut seat costs, per year, what a few hours of work from the person using it cost. If the platform saves them an hour a week, it pays for itself several times over; if it saves nothing because nobody uses it, it's wasted money, in any of the four options. That's why the right question isn't "how much does it cost" but "how do I get it used," and that's why it's worth measuring the baseline before buying anything.

What the calculator doesn't include

• The scattered spend you already have. Personal licenses, team subscriptions paid by card, tools with AI already built in. It's the first number worth gathering before comparing anything, and in most companies it doesn't exist.
• The prerequisites. Copilot Business requires Microsoft 365 licenses and caps out at 300 users; above that, the enterprise add-on has a different price. OpenAI's and Anthropic's Business plans have user caps and point to Enterprise above them, custom-priced.
• Usage. Flat licenses cost the same whether they're used or not. Azimut allocates credits per seat: a heavy user may need the Intensive plan (€145 a month with annual payment), and one who doesn't use it shows up in the usage panel and can be reassigned.
• Rollout. Connecting systems, configuring permissions and training staff takes time in any option. We cover this in the buyer's guide.

Why Azimut costs more per user

Because the price includes different things. Copilot is an add-on to a license you already pay for, and ChatGPT or Claude are one provider's assistant. Azimut includes the use of four providers' models, the connection to company systems with their permissions, company-wide shared agents and spend control. If your company only needs a writing assistant, don't buy it. If it needs AI to work on its systems and belong to the whole organization, compare total cost, not price per seat.

Frequently asked questions

Do the prices include VAT?

No. All prices in the calculator exclude taxes, as published by the providers. Spain applies 21% VAT.

Why is there an exchange rate?

OpenAI and Anthropic publish their prices in dollars. The calculator converts them to euros at the rate you enter; the default value is indicative and you can change it.

What is an Azimut credit?

The unit of usage consumed by each conversation or agent run, depending on the model and the amount of text processed. The Standard plan includes 8,000 credits a month per seat and the Intensive plan 40,000. The usage panel shows what they're spent on.
